Interviewing

by Marianne Richmond

The College Board, the granddaddy of college admissions, the guys who write the SAT – a great list of dos and don’ts, that answers the what and why of college admissions interviews.

The College View website lets you search and compare colleges, research financial aid options, even compare majors and careers.  They have several articles with helpful interview tips.

The College Interview site bills itself as “an Online Guide for College Interview Preparation”.  That’s about right.  No other subjects are covered, but there are over a dozen articles on interviewing and interview prep.

Don’t forget the college websites.  Many of them include information and advice on the interview.  More and more schools offer chat rooms in which you can ask current students how they handled the interview and what to expect.

And don’t forget networking.  Talk to recent grads from your school who have made it through the interview process.  They may have great ideas on how to prepare.
